Our campers are all original late Westfalia's, which have been lovingly
restored to the highest standards and have retained the original retro look. FAQs
Can I come and see the campers?
Yes, of course, please call us to arrange a viewing as we may may be away
from the yard and the campers may be out on hire. FAQs
What are Cosy Campervans office hours?
Our office hours are Monday to Friday 9.00am - 6.00pm
Saturday 10.00am - 3.00pm

Where is Cosy Campervans based?
We are based at VW Downunder, in Fobbing, Stanford-Le-Hope, Essex.
We're conveniently located just off the A13 approximately 20 minutes
from the M25. We also have several train stations near by. FAQs
How many people do your campervans sleep?
Our vans comfortaby sleep 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 children
(one of the children being under 5). FAQs
Do you deliver the camper or do we have to collect it?
We prefer you to collect it from us and ask that you give yourself
an hour for the handover and likewise for the return.
We can provide a delivery service but this would be a special request,
just give us a call to discuss. FAQs
Can we leave our car with you while we're away?
Yes, we provide a secure parking area for your vehicle, however,
all vehicles are left at your own risk. FAQs
Can you collect us from the train station?
Yes, we can collect from a nearby train station, this is a special request
and would need to be requested at the time of booking.

What time can we collect/return the van?
For weekly hire collections are Friday's between 2-4pm.
Returns are Friday's between 10am - 12noon.
For weekend hire collections are Friday's between 2-4pm.
Returns are Monday's before 5pm. FAQs
What age do I have to be hire a van?
25-70 years of age. I'm afraid the insurance companies dictate this! FAQs
Can more than 1 person drive while we're away?
Yes, a maximum of 3 drivers can be insured per trip. FAQs
Can we take the camper abroad?
Unfortunately, our campervans cannot travel abroad. FAQs
How do I make a booking?
Call us to enquire about your preferred dates and once we've confirmed
availability you will need to complete the online booking form. A secure
entry code is required to complete the form, this will be given to you
once your availability has been confirmed. FAQs
What is the booking deposit required?
The booking deposit required is 33% of the hire charge.
This deposit is non refundable. FAQs
Is insurance included within the hire charge?
Yes, fully comprehensive insurance is included for all named drivers. FAQs
Can I still hire a camper if I have points on my license?
Yes, as long as you state them on the booking form. FAQs
I have a non UK driving license, can I still hire a campervan?
Yes, you can still hire a van but there is a surcharge of £5 a day for
extra insurance costs. FAQs
Are personal belongings covered by the insurance?
No, we advise you to get your own personal travel insurance to cover for
personal belongings and cancellation. FAQs
Are dogs allowed in the campers?
As a rule no but please call us to discuss as we do allow some small dogs
in our vans. FAQs
What do we need to bring with us?
The vans come fully equipped, all you need to bring with you is your
belongings, bedding and towels. FAQs
Do we need to book a campsite in advance?
We would advise that you do. Camping is very popular so to avoid
disappointment always play safe and book in advance. Have a look at

What fuel do the campervans use?
All of our vans run on unleaded petrol. *A petrol can is stowed on board. FAQs
How is the cooker fuelled?
The 2 ring gas stove is hooked up to a gas bottle and will last for
your entire road trip. A spare is also provided. FAQs
Can we take our bikes with us?
Yes, we can provide a bike rack. This will need to be requested at
the time of booking. FAQs
What are the dimensions of the campervans?
1.97m external width

Can the campervans take baby/child seats?
Yes, our campervans are fully equipped with seatbelts allowing child
seats to be securely fitted. However, due to the age of the vans they
are not ISOFIX compatible.

Can you smoke in the campervans?
No, all of our vans are non-smoking. FAQs
Do you take late bookings?
Yes, sometimes if we have a van available we'd be happy for it to
go out at late notice. FAQs
